Columbia Medical Practice (CMP) is the leading multi-specialty primary care group in Howard County, Maryland, serving over 40,000 patients annually from Columbia, Clarksville, Ellicott City and surrounding communities. CMP currently employs 25 providers in 5 clinical departments: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Rheumatology, in addition to Clinical Research and Ancillary Services.

The practice is in the forefront of the use of technology to assist in patient care and business management and has received national recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance for its use of computer technology to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care. CMP utilizes the Allscipts Practice Management system and the Allscripts Professional EHR .
